Cloud 9 Paragliding can sell your gear on consignment
Cloud 9 has both a local and nationwide market for used gear, and we can help you sell yours! Once we have your gear and paperwork, we will list it publicly. We do all the work for you, and once it sells we will contact you with options for payment:
- You can get a payout for 66% of the sale price (Cloud 9 keeps 33%) Payment will be in the form of a mailed check within 10 business days.
- You can put the payout amount plus a bonus 10% on your account to use toward future purchases.
How it Works
You will need to drop off your gear at our store or ship it to us in order to get it listed with us. If you are shipping to us, please fill out this form in its entirety. Once we have your gear processed, it will be available on our public spreadsheet for anyone to view and inquire about.
We publish your gear at the ‘list’ price, and will negotiate on your behalf down to the ‘low’ price. If a customer offers lower than your ‘low’ price, we will contact you for authorization before selling.
Things to keep in mind
- We do not consult on price – you get to pick both the list price and the lowest price!
- We do not take any gear over 5 years old.
- We have a 6 month limit on keeping your gear here. After 6 months, you will need to arrange pickup or shipment of returning your gear or it will be treated as abandoned.
- We require a valid annual inspection completed within the last year in order to list your glider, and a repack certificate no older than two years for reserves. If one is not included with your gear and paperwork, we will perform one for a fee of $200(for gliders) and $100(for reserves). This fee will be taken out of your commission.
